I’m stunned this camera cannot do HD video. That’s a huge oversight in my opinion.
I absolutely agree. No way this will be a LX3 killer without the 720p. And I doubt it would have been with only such small increase in light sensitivity as from 2.0->1.8 (although, if I understand correctly, the Samsung is more lightsensitive when zooming? That’s good, in such case.)
samsung now are largest electronics company and wants to own the mirrorless market why they buy this sensor in this TL 500 camera from sony ( same sensor in canon g11 and s90 with just 640×480 video ) .
- we want to carry one camera which can capture and record our journeys and valuable moments with best quality in both still and video .
This could be a great camera. I like the swivel AMOLED screen, which could be great for video. But the video features are not up-to-date. Why only 640×480?
I would definitively buy it, if it had the video features of the TL350 (esp. 720 50/60p). Also a GPS unit and a HDR function (like the Sony HX5) would be great.
