I’ll know better if:
-the 24mm 2,0 pancake (so 36mm on 35mm) comes
-the 60mm 2,0 macro and portrait-lens is going to be announced
-the NX100 has got built-in-EVF (AMOLED?

We’ll find out in September 20th, but it sadly smells like it

The new lenses will be:
-20mm f/2.8 pancake
-20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS
-60mm f/2.8 OIS Macro
The NX100 won´t have built-in EVF, it will be external/optional.

But I think, the things I mentioned, are the ones, the NX-system needs.

2 years ago |I think the NX system needs are:
-14mm = 21mm
-50mm = 75mm
-12-24mm = 18-36mm

2 years ago |Is the 20mm really gonna be 2.8? That’s a bit disappointing. I was hoping it would be a bit faster. A 14mm prime would be nice.

It’s true, but the 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom will only have a 2/3 stop disadvantage in aperture over the 20mm prime, which doesn’t seem enough to warrant owning both (and I’m sure Samsung would want its shooters to buy as many of their lenses as possible). Designing an f/2 pancake at 20mm might have been tricky, but maybe f/2.4 would have worked, that way it would have had a little over 1 stop advantage over the 20-50mm zoom, making it worth owning both lenses.

2 years ago |Very good point Miserere. This is the one time when I might actually prefer the zoom. Especially when the zoom is so compact. The prime is just not that much faster. And the zoom will have OIS.
Miserere
2 years ago |Ah, JT, I hadn’t even considered OIS; that is an advantage to the zoom. But are we sure the 20-50mm will have OIS? They might take it out to keep the size down.
