The WB1000 is one of the higher advance compact camera of Samsung and it has a Sony 12mpx 1/2.3″ CCD sensor.
If Samsung is using 10mpx on the new a WB2000 with the same WB1000 lens 24-120mm f/2.8-5.8 it could be the new Sony CMOS Exmor R or if its sensor is a CCD it just could be the Sony 10mpx 1/1.72″ CCD sensor on S90 or G11, it would be the Samsung “S90 or a LX3″.
For that price of $500 and AMOLED it just can be a advance compact camera and surely will come with RAW format.
The WB1000 (TL320) is a winner, a excellent camera.
The WB2000 must be a advance P&S and now all the Samsung camera use only CCD of 12 or 14MPx, a CCD of 10MPx just can be one, the Sony CCD 1/1.72″ on Canon S90 and G11.
If this new camera use a CMOS it could be the CMOS Exmor R of Sony.
Well, actually Samsung already produces their own CMOS sensors including backlit ones, so why should they use Sony ones?
