(K4) The new Samsung lens roadmap!
Samsung supposed to announce the non-OIS version of the 18-55mm as NX5 kit lens before end of July, but Samsung has changed its focus about non-OIS lenses.
The only lenses until now still on roadmap are the new pancake 20mm, the 20-50mm and the Macro 60mm.
-The 20mm and 20-50mm will be announced at Photokina or maybe before
-The Macro 60mm could be in the market to end of this year
-The announced 18-200mm OIS will be a video dedicated superzoom lens and will be announced with an advanced NX camera (probably a NX video-style version) for 2011 (Q1)
The non-OIS version of 18-55mm won´t be launched, change of plans, probably we will see the prototype of Macro 60mm lens at Photokina and Samsung would announce new NX.
There should be also one Super Wide Angle Zoom and one fixed lens (he thinks probably 2 fixed lenses).
The 20-50mm lens will be very compact and light.

2 years ago |Possible the 20-50mm be no stabilized to save weight and size, but samsung wants to stabilize all their zoom and prime tele-lenses.
The macro lens 60mm will be stabilized.

2 years ago |Why a 50mm macro over 50mm pancake?
None of the manufacturers of the small systems seem to have the same priorities as me (that is, being able to carry around a couple of tiny lenses!). Very annoying (to be me I mean, I’m sure I’m just odd).

2 years ago |Probably a Macro 60mm is not to compact like a pancake, but a Macro 60mm f/2.8 could solve the common focal distance (90mm equiv) and macro option with a acceptable large aperture.
I think the 20mm f/2.8 announced, the 30mm f/2 and the also announced 60mm f/2.8, covering 30mm, 45mm and 90mm equiv. is a good start for a new system with just 6 months in the market and 3 fixed lenses.
