The very know Samsung rumor guy “redcow” posted this inside the dpreview forum:

“Samsung will release a very new level of P&S camera in this year.

The camera will have F1.8 lens and Samsung 1/1.8″ image sensor!!
My source didn’t give me more detail info. except the lens will be BIG.

I guess it will be totally new line of Samsung P&S camera,
and consider it might be a Panasonic LX3 killer.”

I will update when I hear more. emoticon - wink

AmateurPhotographer reported that the previously rumored Samsung GX30 will not be released (at least for now) because Samsung is concentrating on the NX series.
