Pentax second quarter (July-September 2009) had an operating profit of 1.19 billion yen! This is the first operational profit since its acquisition by Hoya on 31.3.2008. Anyway the Pentax sales are declining, especially in overseas and affected by the strong yen. The cost reduction was main cause for the last quarter profit.
